Why embed a calculator
A calculator keeps readers on your page longer than a paragraph of advice. A visitor who types in their own weight and height gets a number that is theirs, which is more useful than a general table. Our calculators use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the formula most dietitians prefer, and show the working, so your readers can see how the result is reached.
Four calculators are available: the TDEE calculator, the macro calculator, the BMR calculator and the BMI calculator. Each supports metric and US units.
Terms of use
- Free for personal, editorial and commercial sites, including blogs, gyms, clinics and coaching sites.
- Keep the "Powered by TDEEplus" link visible under the calculator. Do not hide, crop or alter it.
- Do not copy the calculator code and host it yourself. Use the embed code so results stay accurate and up to date.
- The calculators give estimates for healthy adults. They are not medical advice, and we may update the formulas as the research changes.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The calculators are free to embed on any website, blog or app, with no sign-up. The only condition is that you keep the small "Powered by TDEEplus" link under the calculator.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Choose a calculator, copy the code, and paste it into any page that accepts HTML. In WordPress, use a Custom HTML block. In Wix, Squarespace and Webflow, use an Embed or Code block.
Does the calculator collect my visitors' data?
No. The numbers your visitors type stay in their browser and are not sent to a server. See our privacy policy.
Will it fit my page width and on phones?
Yes. The code sets the width to 100% of its container, and the calculator adapts to phone, tablet and desktop. The optional height script resizes the frame to fit the content.
Can I change how it looks?
The calculator follows the visitor's light or dark preference and uses TDEEplus colours. Custom colours are not supported yet. If you need a particular style, contact us.
